You can access your self storage room as often as you wish (putting items in or taking them out) totally free of charge. Our Walsall storage facility opening hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 7pm, Saturday 8am – 5pm and Sunday 12pm – 4pm. 24 hour 7 day access is available on some of our domestic self storage units, please ask for details.

Brownhills In a Nutshell
A Town in the West Midlands, Brownhills is located on the edge of Cannock Chase near the large man-made lake of Lake Chasewater. It is only 6 miles away from Walsall and is a approximately 9.7km away from Lichfield. Being part of the Borough of Walsall, Brownhills shares boundaries with Pelsall and Stonnall and before changes in 1974 it was previously located in the county of Staffordshire.
The town was not recorded before the 17th century and is recorded as a settlement in the Domesday book. It grew alongside the industrial revolution where it was famous for its coal mining industry. Brownhills became linked to the canal and railway networks in the mid 19th century and by 1900 was home to over 350 people.
Like much of Birmingham the 1950s brought with it a decline in industry in Brownhills which led to the closure of pits and an economic downturn which appears to have continued until the present day. A regeneration programme has recently been agreed for the area and it is hoped that this will improve the situation for the people of the town.
The local authority hopes the “Townscape Masterplan” will increase the leisure provision and improve the town’s shopping facilities for the 6000 people who live there.. Upon completion it should provide new transport and park and ride systems which should help the area to get connected and improve employment levels in the area. It is also hoped that residential areas will be improved and with a grant of over £350000 a new square is planned in the town.
The town’s main secondary school Brownhills Secondary School is also hoping to improve after achieving 28% A*-C at GCSE. It looks as though there are exciting things happening in Brownhills which should change the fate of this industrial town.
