You can move out any time and you only pay for the days you have used our storage facility (subject to a minimum storage charge period of just two weeks). No notice required and unused days are fully refunded.

Free and easy access to your own private self storage unit

You can access your self storage room as often as you wish (putting items in or taking them out) totally free of charge. Our Walsall storage facility opening hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 7pm, Saturday 8am – 5pm and Sunday 12pm – 4pm. 24 hour 7 day access is available on some of our domestic self storage units, please ask for details.

Erdington or Hardintone ?

Historically part of Warwickshire, Erdington is a suburb of Birmingham located 5 miles northeast of the city centre. The area borders Sutton Coldfield to the North and is accessible via the Aston Expressway, connecting it to both the city centre and the M6.

Erdington is a council constituency, managed by its own district committee. The committee council makes up the smaller ward of Erdington, and both the wards of Tyburn, Stockland Green and Kingstanding, despite the fact that all these areas lie outside of Erdington.

In the past, Erdington has been home to its own manor house which was protected by the River Tame. After being demolished in the 17th century, the Tame moat was drained and eventually demolished for the development of the Tyburn Road. Throughout the middle ages the area was a village for settlers travelling up the River Tame from Tamworth and was mentioned in the Domesday book. Being given the name Hardintone, Erdington remained a rural village until the English Civil War when Prince Rupert passed through on his way to Lichfield.

In more recent years, Erdington has formed around its shopping centre with many Victorian houses surrounding the high street. It has undergone redevelopment in the form of the old Lyndhurst estate being demolished and replaced with a new housing estate which was aimed at reducing crime and encouraging young families back into the area.

One of the land mark features of Erdington is the Spaghetti Junction which is situated on the southern edge of the area, this connects the area to the Aston Expressway and the M6 and is one of the many ways to access Erdington. The main city line also runs through Birmingham to Lichfield via Erdington Train station and is frequented by the many commuters in the area.

Of further note are the shopping centre ‘The Fort’ and the many schools and colleges that give Erdington’s children opportunities in future employment and higher education.
