Refund & Cancellation Policy

Secure online payments

We do not store credit or debit card details on our website. When you pay online through the Admiral website your payment will be processed by WorldPay - an industry leading provider of secure online card processing. When you choose the WorldPay option, your payments are made in the secure and protected environment of their site, ensuring that your payment details are fully protected.

Website and telephone orders and payments

We understand that commitments can change and try to reflect this in our refund and cancellation policy to be as flexible as possible. Refunds and cancellations vary depending upon the service you have booked with us, or product you have purchased from us. The policies referred to below are applicable to card payments made online or by phone only.

Refund requests must be sent to accounts@theadmiralgroup.co.uk or by post to Admiral Self Storage Ltd, Unit 4 Maple Leaf Industrial Estate, Bloxwich Lane, Walsall WS2 8TF. Please allow 5 working days from confirmation of receipt of your application for us to process your request.

Paying your storage account

Payments made for the arrears settlement of outstanding storage fees are non-refundable. Unused storage fees will be refunded when the storage agreement ends; account refunds are normally processed on the next working day following the day you close your account.

Storage room rental (advance booking)

You may cancel and receive a full refund of storage fees or change your arrival date up to 24 hours in advance of your confirmed booking date. In the case of unforeseen circumstances which require you to cancel on the day, you must let us know by the close of the next working day if you wish to be considered for a refund or rearrange your booking date.

Storage room rental (advance booking with self drive van rental voucher)

You may cancel and receive a full refund of storage fees or change your arrival date up to 24 hours in advance of your confirmed booking date. In the case of unforeseen circumstances which require you to cancel on the day, you must let us know by the close of the next working day if you wish to be considered for a refund of storage fees or rearrange your storage requirement booking date.

Cancellation or postponements to the van rental voucher must be notified directly to our partner Company; Maple Motor Services Ltd trading as Admiral Self Drive, by telephone 01922 629944, no less than 48 hours in advance of your confirmed vehicle collection time. If you fail to notify Admiral Self Drive of your cancellation or postponement at least 48 hours in advance, or do not arrive to collect your vehicle within 2 hours of the allotted time (no show), the voucher will be forfeited and the van rental booking will be cancelled. You will not receive a refund from Admiral Self Drive for any monies that you have paid directly to them.

You may cancel and receive a full refund of storage fees or change your arrival date up to 24 hours in advance of your confirmed booking date. In the case of unforeseen circumstances which require you to cancel on the day, you must let us know by the close of the next working day if you wish to be considered for a refund of storage fees or rearrange your storage requirement booking date.

Admiral’s recommended Removal contractors’ cancellation and postponement conditions vary; please contact your nominated Removal contractor directly for further details. Payment for removal services should be arranged directly with the Removal contractor.

Products purchased from our website

By purchasing any goods from our online shop or ordering goods by phone you accept and agree to be bound by these purchase and supply of goods terms and any modifications:

Availability
If any of the goods are unavailable for supply Admiral Self Storage Ltd will notify you as soon as possible.

Acceptance of orders
Any order through the Admiral website or by phone will only be accepted when Admiral sends you an email confirming acceptance of your order. Until you receive that email there will not be a binding contract between Admiral Self Storage Ltd and you. Any information on our website, or your filling in of details or clicking any button or icon indicating you are making an order does not and is not intended to constitute a binding contract.

Delivery
Delivery will normally be made to the address specified by you within 7 days. Delivery will be made by Royal Mail or other form of postage/delivery including courier services. Goods lost in transit:
No claim for goods lost in transit can be accepted unless notified in writing within 7 working days from the delivery date specified above.

Cancellation
You can cancel your order within 7 days starting from the day after the goods were received by you. To cancel the order you will need to write to us by post or email, as per the contact details below. If you cancel the order orally, you will need to confirm the oral cancellation in writing and send it to us by one of the means specified in this paragraph. If you have received the goods and wish to return them please follow the instructions for the return of unwanted goods below. You must pay the cost of returning the goods.

Return of unwanted goods
You may return goods purchased from Admiral Self Storage which are in their original condition and can be resold within 14 calendar days from the day after the goods were received by you. Special items specifically ordered for you cannot be returned.

If you wish to return the goods you must pay the cost of returning the goods. Before returning any goods you should first telephone or email Admiral Self Storage to ascertain if the goods can be returned. Upon authorisation from Admiral Self Storage, all acceptable goods returned must be accompanied by a returns document that will be sent to you on your request. Returned goods must reach us within 7 calendar days of the issue date of the return document.

Lost and/or damaged goods and any unauthorised returned goods will be your responsibility and Admiral Self Storage will not be liable and no refund will be made.
Any returned goods may be exchanged or refunded. Admiral Self Storage reserves the right to refuse an exchange or refund if the goods are returned in a non-saleable condition, show signs of use, or are damaged.

Subject to the above, and upon safe receipt of the returned order we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item(s) (this does not include the original postage and packing charge). Cost of postage and packing for returns to our address is payable by the customer.

Limitations of Liability
If the goods delivered by Admiral Self Storage are not what you ordered or are damaged, Admiral Self Storage shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing of the problem within 3 calendar days of the delivery of the goods in question.

If you do not receive goods ordered by you in accordance with the paragraph under 'Delivery' above, Admiral Self Storage shall have no liability to you unless you notify Admiral Self Storage in writing at our contact address of the problem.
If you notify a problem to Admiral Self Storage under this condition our only obligation will be, at your option:

  • to make good any shortage or non-delivery;
  • to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or
  • to refund to you the amount paid for the goods in whatever way Admiral Self Storage chooses.

Save as precluded by law, Admiral Self Storage will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to Admiral Self Storage under this condition Admiral Self Storage shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question as above.

You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from Admiral Self Storage. The importation or exportation of certain of our goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded.
